The Pandemic and Beyond: Track with Confidence with Tribal Tracks.

There is absolutely no doubt that Covid 19 has wreaked havoc across the globe. However, with the vaccine(s) being rolled out, there is light on the horizon and we are hopeful that we will soon be able to travel again. Here at Tribal Tracks, the wellbeing and safety of our of clients is absolutely paramount.  We want you to travel well, with confidence, and with us!  We also want to ensure that when you are ready to book your next trip (and believe me, if you are like Charlie and Gaynor, you will have itchy feet by now), you will be reassured that your safety and well-being, and that of our leaders, our in-country teams and the communities we travel to, is our single biggest priority.

You may have worries.

You want to book, but what happens if your trip is unable to go ahead? How will we keep you safe on our trips? How can you protect and keep safe the communities we visit?

Our Track with Confidence policy should reassure you and give you the confidence to make fresh tracks with us. As you will appreciate, the policy will be a dynamic document as things are constantly changing.  We monitor local public health recommendations, government guidelines and WHO advice on a daily basis to keep this policy as up to date as we possibly can.  Here are the key points.

1. Book with confidence

We understand that flexibility is now a key factor when booking a trip, and as such, we have adapted our processes.

The key points are:

Financial protection : We are members of Protected Trust Services.  Any money that you pay to Tribal Tracks goes into a protected trust account, operated by PTS and governed by independent trustees which means that it is ring-fenced and 100% protected. Our membership number is 5566.

Pay in instalments, interest free : We are conscious that times are tough, and there can be significant demands on resources  So for that reason, we are offering complete payment flexibility once you have paid your deposit.  Want to make three instalments?  No problem.  Pay off the balance over a year?  Not a problem.  Whatever you want to do, we can accommodate.  Just talk to us.

Move to a different trip: If you need to change your booking 70 days or more before the start date you can change to another trip, subject to availability, without incurring any admin costs. There is a bit of work on our side to do this, but to give you security, we are happy not to charge for this at this tricky time.  Please note that if you want to transfer to a trip which costs more, we will have to charge you the difference in cost.

Postponement of trips due to COVID-19: We monitor all countries and associated FCO guidelines wherever we operate our overseas trips. If we can't run a trip in the host country due to Covid-19 (or please no, any other pandemic), you can:

  1. postpone your trip to a later departure of the same challenge to 2021 or 2022;
  2. join another overseas trip in 2021 or 2022 (paying or being refunded the difference if there is a difference in price);
  3. transfer your place to another person;
  4. receive a refund of monies paid for the trip.

If you choose to cancel your trip within 70 days of departure despite no official advice against travel, our standard cancellation terms will apply.

Travel Insurance: There is no change in our policy that travel insurance is compulsory for all of our trips. However, when arranging your policy we recommend that it not only covers you against medical and personal accident risks (to include repatriation costs and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services where appropriate), the activities you are undertaking, personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects, but also now covers you for pandemics and epidemics including COVID-19. There are some insurance companies who now offer this service such as True Traveller and Campbell Irvine (we don't have any arrangement with these companies, but they have been recommended to us.)

2. Travel with Confidence

Good To Go | Adventurous Ewe

We're #GoodToGo: Following the COVID-19 Industry Standard in Partnership with The National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, we have followed and implemented government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.

Adventure Travel COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines: We are also proud to be implementing ATTA’s COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines, developed in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic, across all our trips.  This covers all aspects of our trips, including safety at the airport, socially distanced accommodation provision, the approach to be taken at meals, keeping you safe while on transport (including the use of social distancing, hand sanitisation and PPE for the drivers).  Full details will be provided in advance of departure.

Leaders & Our Teams In Country: Our leaders and in country teams are renowned and well loved by our repeat clients. In advance of your trip, all leaders and teams will receive full, up-to-date briefings on the current operating procedures at that time, based on the up-to-the-minute advice both locally and internationally.  In addition, our teams will have up-to-date knowledge of the nearest local clinics, testing procedures and health policies in each destination and what will happen if a member of the team develops any symptoms of COVID-19.

We need you to be part of this:  We need you to work with us, respecting the procedures that we have put in place to keep everyone safe.  Prior to departure, we will provide you with full information on the steps that you can take to ensure not only your safety, but also that of your team-mates, your leader, local teams, and of course, the communities we travel to.

We look forward to having you track with us again soon, and thank you for all your amazing support at this very difficult time.
