Day 1 – London – Marrakech
Arrive early in Marrakech and be welcomed by our team.
Marrakech, known as the Red City, is where old meets new with the dusky pink walls of the old town hiding stunning historical sights. We can safely say Marrakech is far from predictable, with mind boggling distractions scattered along ancient cobbled streets, including snake charmers, heavily laden donkey carts, acrobatic performers and the general hustle and bustle of the bazaars. You will explore the traditional Souks with your local guide and try a fun negotiation game. Set your goal price for a selection of objects, try different tactics, and see you and the team fair against some of the world’s best drivers of bargains! Overnight in the Medina, Marrakech. Lunch and dinner.
Day 2 – Explore the Atlas Mountains
After breakfast, head to the High Atlas Mountains and drink in the fascinating landscapes, gaining an understanding of the geography of the region. In the afternoon, the team will enjoy a gentle trek in the mountains, walking through the Berber villages while learning from the local guides about Berber life and history. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy time together, walking and talking and getting to know each other better, all while exploring this magical and remote region. Overnight in Gite in Imlil. Full board.
Day 3 – Cultural Experience
A fantastic CSR opportunity to get involved in a small local project such as simple irrigation repair or tree planting while interacting with the local villagers. You will be welcomed into a local Berber home to meet the family and learn how to make traditional bread and sweets. Evening meal with Berber dancing and music. Overnight in a Gite in Imlil. Full board.
Day 4 – Agafay Desert Glamping
Leaving the mountains behind, it is time to head to the Agafay desert to experience a complete change of scene and the wonderful magic of the desert environment. You will trek through the dunes with camels, and, after a traditional Moroccan feast in the evening, be wowed with the most spectacular starry night skies. You will have time to sit around the camp fire and reflect on what you have learned over the last few days, as well as goal set, if required. Overnight desert camp. Full board.
Day 5 – Homeward bound
Return to Marrakech for a farewell lunch and then the flight home. Breakfast and lunch.
