Sri Lanka is another one of those destinations that has it all. Beautiful coastlines, glorious trekking through vast expanses of tea plantations,  warm hospitality and wildlife all around — elephants, monkeys, leopards and wild boar to name a few, not to mention the hundreds of bird species  - Tantse

I was fascinated by this area. I have not been anywhere similar before and I really enjoyed the pioneering feeling!  10/10

Amy N

What an amazing mountain.  It was slightly tougher than I expected it to be, but the guides, and Ian our TT leader, kept me going!

Jake B

I have done a couple of 4500m plus peaks before, but this was the next level.  There is something about getting over 5000m that made me feel very proud of myself and left me wanting to do more!

Trip Highlights

Fully supported trek through a carefully curated trek, the terrain and landscapes are different each day - pristine trails through vast tea plantations, remote ridgelines, thick rainforest, stunning valleys and beautiful lakes, to name a few.

Conquer the legendary V-shaped mountain pass known locally as 'Jacob's Ladder'. Especially difficult if there has been rain as the conditions can be slippy.

Discover the incredible flora and fauna diversity in the UNESCO-listed Horton Plains National Park

Trek through working tea estates, colonial-era factories and villages built entirely around the tea economy

Experience the warm hospitality of the friendly Sri Lankan people

Get off the beaten track to areas that are untouched by mass tourism. Experience genuine and respectful interactions throughout

A portion of entrance fees contributes to local guide employment, trail maintenance and community infrastructure

Enjoy the sacred views of Adam's Peak (spiritually revered by Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and Muslims)

At a Glance

This carefully curated fundraising trek winds its way through the central highlands of Sri Lanka, through visually dramatic landscapes, remote and nature-filled tracks and historic and culturally important points of interest. Over five days, we will trek approximately 100 kilometres. The terrain is varied and often challenging, from old trade paths travelling through pristine tea plantations to large exposed planes to thick rainforest and remote ridge lines.

We will trek between 5 - 8 hours a day, and over the span of the five day trek we will ascend over 3000m, and descend over 2400m! We will relax each night in a combination of comfortable hotels, guest houses and homestays. We can expect a warm welcome everywhere we go from the lovely communities in the rural villages.
