Celebrating 25 years of the Wales Air Ambulance Charity
We're incredibly excited to announce our newest partnership with Wales Air Ambulance, who will be taking on our Morocco Sahara 100km Trek in November 2026. We're honoured to be the team supporting them every step of the way, and we thank Gail for her enthusiasm and support in making this happen! If you've ever dreamed of experiencing the raw beauty of the desert while making a profound impact, this is the challenge for you.
The Wales Air Ambulance Charity, established in 2001, provides lifesaving emergency air cover across Wales, reaching people when every second matters. Their work is entirely funded by supporters, and by joining this challenge, you'll help secure the future of this essential service. It's an opportunity to combine adventure with purpose.
This trek takes you across 100km of Morocco's vast and hypnotic desert landscape. It's a journey through rolling dunes, ancient dried riverbeds, and wide silent plains. The Sahara has a way of stripping life back to its essentials. Every footstep, sunrise and star-filled night feels unforgettable.
Over five days of trekking, you'll be guided by our expert Berber team, and supported by a Tribal Tracks leader who will fly with you from the UK. You'll rise with the sun, trek through ever-changing terrain, share meals together and fall asleep under unreal starry skies (tents provided). It's challenging, no doubt, the heat, terrain and distance will test you, but the reward is immense. You'll finish with a sense of achievement that’s hard to put into words.

Every participant is encouraged to fundraise £1000. Every pound raised will help the Wales Air Ambulance Charity continue delivering critical care: attending medical emergencies, transporting patients and ensuring that people across Wales have access to fast, specialist help when they need it most. By joining this challenge, you won’t just be taking on an adventure; you'll be directly supporting a service that changes and saves lives every day.
Who can take part?
You don’t need to be an elite athlete to take on the Sahara. What matters most is your determination and willingness to train. We'll provide full support from the moment you sign up, training guidance, kit advice and a personal contact here to answer any of your questions. Wales Air Ambulance will help you with your fundraising.
You will be trekking with a group of like-minded people who share the same goal: to support Wales Air Ambulance while experiencing something extraordinary. Many participants finish as lifelong friends; there's something about overcoming a challenge together that creates powerful bonds.
