Ashley - Making Memories

I would highly recommend everyone to ditch the summer beach holiday and get out and explore the amazing world we live in. There is so much to see and do! Personally I thought these trips were always out of my reach financially, but that's not the case! I was scared about going away somewhere new, and especially hiking 50km in a foreign country in case something happened me, but from the minute I met the TT team, I felt safe and excited for the adventure to come.

My name is Ashley and I am from Northern Ireland. I have always loved adventure, and challenging myself. My hobbies include, snowboarding, surfing, wake boarding, hiking, paddle boarding, and volunteering for different charities. I have hiked a few of the Mourne mountains here in Northern Ireland and I always wanted to travel the world.

Hari - Record Breaking Legend, Conqueror of Everest | Tribal Tracks Traveller Profile and Review

Hari - Record Breaking Legend, Conqueror of Everest

In June 2022, we were delighted to facilitate Hari's record breaking attempt to be the first Double Above Knee (DAK) amputee to summit Mount Toubkal, which he did with fellow DAK, James Rose. With James, Hari holds the record for the first summit of Toubkal by two DAK amputees, on the same day. In Hari's words, 'I wanted to support my friend James, fundraise for BLESMA and experience the nature and culture'. Since then, Hari has gone on to create many more records, and, in 2023, became the first DAK amputee to summit Mount Everest. Read more of his story here.

Hari was born in a cowshed in Nepal, in the foothills of the Himalayas, about 2,700m above sea level.

Gary - Repeat Traveller!

What was the best thing? That's a difficult question. The remoteness on Mount M’Goun was amazing, with only local goat herders in the same area. The views were simply stunning. Nepal mountains are difficult to get your head around with their beauty and sheer size. But what really makes the trip are the people. The local support, the relationships you develop and the overall camaraderie of the group. It just works.

I am recently retired, retiring just as Covid hit, after nearly 40 years in retail banking. I’ve just turned 58, and I have been married to Carol for 34 years and we have three boys. Home is in beautiful West Sussex. I’ve always been the out door type and an active climber back in the day. I have been pleased to return to that again since retiring.

Vicki - Continuing a life of Adventure

It was absolutely brilliant!!! I loved everything about it, well maybe not the MoMo's (a type of heavy dumpling!!). It was so well organised, with no stone left unturned. Tribal Tracks & 40tude work so well together and produce simply outstanding treks. I loved being with other like minded people and also the fact that I didn't have to think about anything!

My name is Vicki S, and I am 50 years old. I live in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire and have two children (aged 19 & 16).

Deborah - Conquering Nepal

My top tip is just to enjoy it and soak up the experience! Try not to go with any preconceived ideas or expectations and just embrace everything that comes your way. We originally had planned to go to Machu Picchu but that had to be cancelled a few months before the trip due to civil unrest there. Initially I wasn’t keen to change my plans, but I am so glad that I trusted Tribal Tracks and went to Nepal instead. I am sure Machu Picchu would have been incredible too, but I feel I ended up where I was meant to be.

I am Deborah. I am 46 years old, live in Scotland, very close to Carnoustie, with my husband Greg, step daughter Olivia, 5 dogs, cat and 6 chickens!!
