Getting your ETA (visa) for Sri Lanka

You will need an ‘Electronic Travel Authorization’ (ETA) to enter Sri Lanka, which is a form of visa.

It is your responsibility to obtain a visa if required. This guide is tailored for British nationals; other nationalities should check with their respective embassies.

Remember, entry requirements can change, so refer to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and Sri Lanka Embassy websites for the latest updates.

Key Visa Application Guidelines
