How to Choose the Trip that is Right for You!

Not sure where you want to go or how far you want to trek?

Choosing a trip can be a little overwhelming if you have never been on an trip of this type before. We suggest that you begin by looking at how we grade our trips.  That should give you a good understanding of what to expect. Reflect on your current fitness level. Are you prepared to train to tackle a more challenging trip, or are you super fit already and feel you could cope with the daily demands? Do you want to have long days, or would you prefer a shorter day with less elevation gain?

The next step is to decide what sort of terrain you would like to tackle and in what climate.  Do you like hot weather and sand? Or do you want to summit a mountain?  Our trip selector tool can help.

Something else to add into the mix is whether you are happy to wild camp or not, and for how many nights.  Some of our trips may only have a couple of nights wild camping, such as The High Atlas 50km or the Jordan & Petra Quick Dash which can be a good starting point if you haven't experienced wild camping or even normal camping before.  Some other trips have no camping at all, such as The Romanian Five Peak ChallengeThe Annapurna Sanctuary Trek or The Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek

What equipment do you have already, and what are you prepared to buy? For each trip, we have a detailed kit list and trip notes which you can find in the 'Trip Details' tabs. This is also a consideration.

Finally, why don't you explore our Client Profiles?  We have real life stories from past trekkers, which may enable you to find someone just like you, and the confidence to take the plunge.  And, as always, Charlie and Gaynor are always here to help you with any questions you may have.
